13.3 Preparing the machine
lower the feed-dog
> Touch the «Feed dog up/down» button to lower the feed dog.
> Fit the straight and CutWork stitch plate (optional accessory).
> Fit the needle.
> Fit the embroidery foot.
Selecting an embroidery motif
All of the embroidery motifs can be either directly embroidered or can be changed using different functions
offered by the embroidering machine. Please find all the embroidery motifs at the end of this instruction
manual. In addition to that, embroidery motifs can be loaded from the personal memory or from the
BERNINA USB stick (optional accessory).
> Touch the icon «Home».
> Touch the icon «Embroidery mode».
> Select the folder for alphabet, embroidery motifs or your own embroidery motifs.
> To open an embroidery motif category, select a folder.
> To select an embroidery motif, either scroll through the view and select the required embroidery motif, or
> touch the icon «Select by number», enter the number for the embroidery motif and select the
embroidery motif with the white frame.

Attaching the embroidery foot
> Raise the needle.
> Raise the presser foot.
> Switch the machine off and disconnect it from the power supply system.
> Push the clamping lever up (1).
