drying cycle unless all items are quickly removed and spread out so that the
heat is dissipated.
18. Clothes dryer installation must be performed by a qualifi ed installer.
19. Do not install a clothes dryer with fl exible plastic venting materials. If fl exible
metal (foil type) duct is installed, it must be of a specifi c type identifi ed by
the appliance manufacturer as suitable for use with clothes dryers. Flexible
venting materials are known to collapse, be easily crushed, and trap lint.
These conditions will obstruct clothes dryer airfl ow and increase the risk of
fi re.
20. To reduce the risk of severe injury or death, follow all installation instructions.
21. Electrical installation, if required, must be done by a licensed electrician.
22. Do not operate appliance while away from the home.
23. Do not heat dry items that have been dry-cleaned.
24. The dryer is made and marked to facilitate recycling. When it is no longer
useful, contact your local refuse collection service for advice on how to
properly dispose of the dryer for purposes of recycling.
25. Damaged power cables should only be replaced by a certifi ed professional.
26. Provide suffi cient ventilation, otherwise smoke from open fi res or fumes
from equipment burning other fuels can be drawn into the room.

Let the machine cool completely before touching the back.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance must be grounded. In the event of malfunction or breakdown,
grounding will reduce the risk of electric shock by providing a path of least

equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a
grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that
is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and
ordinances.
WARNING! - Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor
can result in a risk of electric shock. Check with a qualifi ed electrician or
service representative or personnel if you are in doubt as to whether the
appliance is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided with the
appliance (Canadian market only). If it will not fi t the outlet, have a proper outlet
installed by a qualifi ed electrician.
