Selecting the recording mode
You can switch the recording mode to
select the movie quality when recording
high definition image quality (HD)
movies ([Highest Quality
default setting). The recording time of the
recording media is changed depending on
the recording mode.

Tips
Movies are recorded with the 1920 1080/50p
format when the PS mode of high definition
image quality (HD) is selected, and with
AVCHD 1920 1080/50i or 1920 1080/25p
format when the FX or FH mode is selected.
When the HQ or LP mode of high definition
image quality (HD) is selected, movies are
recorded with AVCHD 1440 1080/50i format.
You can select the following high definition
