Restrictions ■ Hardware restrictions This section describes restrictions related to the hardware of this product. • This product isolates the evaluation MCU from the mode lines (MD[2:0]) of the user system. The mode pin levels of the user system therefore cannot be checked from the emulator. Take note of the following additional restrictions when the pseudo power-on debug function is being used.

  • Page 17 5.6 Power-on and shutdown sequences ■ Power-on sequence To turn the power on, finish making all the required connections and then follow the procedure shown in Figure 9. To turn on the emulator, press the power switch on the back of the emulator. The power switch re- mains depressed.
