Recommendations for calibration of the equipment on a routine basis including the

Calibrate the apparatus before first-time use and then on a regular schedule, depending on

use and sensor exposure to poisons and contaminants. Honeywell recommends that the
sensors be calibrated regularly and at least once every 180 days (6 months).
The combustible sensor is factory calibrated to 50% LEL methane. If monitoring a different
l
combustible gas in the % LEL range, calibrate the sensor using the appropriate gas.
Procedure to calibrate the detector via the calibration cap and the DC app on a
mobile device
1. Turn On the BW Icon. Place the cap over the detector, and then press down on both tabs to
snap it into place. Wait a few minutes to sensors warm up.
