ADDITIONAL CUTTING HEIGHT

WARNING: AVOID INJURY.
Use sturdy gloves or padding to
protect hands when working with
mower blades.
Rotation of one blade rotates the
other blades.
When the deck is adjusted to its highest level,
up to an additional 13 mm (1/2") of cutting
height can be gained by removing one or two
blade spacers from each blade. See
Figure 31.

Each blade spacer is 6 mm (1/4"). If one or
two spacers are removed, shorter blade hex
bolts must be used. See Figure 29.
CAUTION: Do not add or
remove blade spacers to change
cut heights if within the normal
deck cut height range. Blade
spacers are only removed to
achieve cutting heights greater
than 102 mm (4").
To gain additional cut height:
1. Set deck to maximum cut height.
2. Remove blades. See Remove Mower
Blades on page 26.
3. Remove or add blade spacers to achieve
the desired cutting height.
NOTICE: Store removed blade spacers on
hex bolts. See Figure 29.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that all mower blades
are mounted with the same number of
spacers.
REMOVE AND INSTALL MOWER
DECK DRIVE BELT
NOTICE: If necessary, lower the height of cut
to remove or install mower drive belt.
See Figure 32.
1. Park unit safely.
2. Loosen but DO NOT remove hex bolts
securing mower deck shield to frame.
3. Slide shield forward until front hex bolt
heads are positioned in square slots.
4. Remove mower deck shield and retain for
reinstallation.
