GPS OPERATION (ADVANCED)
GPS SET
» GPS > GPS Alarm
Alarm Area (RX/Memory)
Selects the GPS active alarm range.
When a target enters the active alarm range, the GPS
Alarm sounds, and the GPS alarm icon blinks.
L When "Alarm Select" is set to "RX" or "Memory," this
setting is enabled. (p. 9-38)
• Limited:
The transceiver sounds 3 beeps, and the
GPS Alarm icon blinks when the target
enters the 500 meters range.
• Extended: The transceiver sounds 3 beeps, and the
GPS Alarm icon blinks when the target
enters the 1 kilometer range.
• Both:
The transceiver sounds a beep, and the
GPS Alarm icon blinks when the target
enters the 1 kilometer range, and sounds
3 beeps, and the icon blinks when it
enters the 500 meters range. When the
target exits the 500 meters range, but
is still in the 1 kilometer range, the icon
continues to blink, but no beeps sound.
Example:
When a target station enters the active alarm range
(500 meters or 1 kilometer range, depending on the
setting), the GPS Alarm sounds and the GPS Alarm
icon blinks.

GPS Auto TX
Selects an option for the GPS automatic transmission
function. This function automatically transmits the
current position data received from a GPS receiver, as
well as any entered GPS message, at the set interval.
NOTE: When "GPS TX Mode" is "NMEA," set
"Position Input" to "Internal GPS." If you set to
"Manual," this function is not activated..
• OFF: Does not automatically transmit the position
data. (When you push [PTT], the transceiver
transmits the position data.)
• 30 sec to 30 min:
Transmits the current position data at the
selected interval (30 seconds, or 1, 3, 5, 10,
or 30 minutes).
