Calibrating Across Overlapping Frequency Ranges

Calibrating Across Overlapping
Frequency Ranges
Calibration kits may contain two modules (an RF module and a
microwave module) that overlap in frequency coverage. For example,
the HP 85060B Option 001 contains an RF (30 kHz to 6 GHz) module
and a microwave (1 to 18 GHz) module. In the overlapping frequency
range, the module specifications may vary.

ranges, the ECal system uses the data gathered from the last module
connected during the calibration sequence to apply to the overlapped
range.
For the best performance, select the module which has specifications
that best meet the frequency range requirements of the calibration to
be performed and connect this module last. See the Electronic
Calibration Module Reference Guide (HP part number 85091-90008) for
the RF and microwave module's electrical specifications.
