The RM602 is designed to automatically synchronize its current time and date when brought within range of the DCF77 RF signal.
When the unit is within range, its radio-control mechanism will override all manual settings.
When the unit is receiving radio signal, the reception icon will start to blink. The reception icon will show either strong, weak or no signal depending on the strength of the radio signal. A complete reception generally takes about two to 10 minutes.
Receiving radio signal | No signal | Weak signal | Strong signal |
When the reception is completed the reception icon will stop blinking. The reception icon will show [] for no reception or [] for successful reception.
Reception complete | No reception, or manually adjusted | Successful reception |
For better reception of radio signals, place the clock away from metal objects and electrical appliances to minimize interference.
If you wish to disable the auto-reception feature while the unit is within range, hold down the [CLOCK] and [] buttons simultaneously for two seconds. The [] signal will disappear. The unit will NOT respond to radio signals.
To enable the feature again, hold down the buttons again. The [] signal will start blinking to initiate reception automatically.
When the current time is displayed,
Press [CLOCK/ALARM] to save the changes and exit. If changes are made for the minute, the seconds will reset and start from zero.
The unit will also save all changes and return to normal display automatically after the unit has been left idle for a minute.
To activate or deactivate an alarm, press [CLOCK/ALARM] to select the alarm and press [ALARM ON/OFF]. The alarm time will be displayed when the chosen alarm is activated. Otherwise, blanks will be displayed.
You can have both alarms enabled or disabled at the same time. When an alarm goes on, press [ALARM ON/OFF] to mute the alarm. Or press [SNOOZE/LIGHT] to activate the snooze function.
When the snooze function is activated, the alarm will be muted temporarily and set on again after eight minutes. To disable the snooze function, press [ALARM ON/OFF].
To have a biorhythm scan, you have to enter the user's birthday first. The RM602 can support up to three users.
To enter a birthday,
Note: The birthday is constraint to the current day. If the birthday entered is after the current day, no biorhythm chart will be shown.
The unit can forecast the biorhythm of a user according to the entered birthday. The forecast includes conditions for physical, emotional, intellectual and intuitive element.
The conditions for the four elements fluctuate, since birth, over a fixed but individual cycle. The cycle for the physical, emotional, intellectual and intuitive elements are, approximately, 23 days, 28 days, 33 days and 38 days, respectively.
For each element, there are active (above zero level) and passive (below zero level) days. When crossing from active to passive, one is having a critical day; and a zero day if it is the contrary. So, do a scan on your biorhythm and make the most of your day.
A kinetic display of the biorhythm will appear with the current day status flashing on the chart. An indicator will light up to show if your active or passive condition is increasing, decreasing or reaching the peak or trough.
And, to alert you to your critical days, a warning indicator will appear. Each cycle contains one zero day at the beginning and one critical day in the middle.
The unit is capable of scanning any day between user's birthday and 2099.
The [RESET] button is used to enhance synchronization of signals after battery replacement or when the unit is operating in an unfavourable way or malfunctioning. Use a blunt stylus to hold down the button. All settings will return to their default values.
This unit is engineered to give you years of satisfactory service if handled carefully.
