SECTION 1 INTRODUCTION

An easy-to-operate device, the RM602 is also designed to automatically synchronize its current time and date when brought within an approximate 1500km radius of the radio signal DCF77generated from Frankfurt, Germany.

Other functions of the RM602 include dual daily alarms with snooze function and backlight.

  1. ANTENNA / STAND
    Receives RF signal for RF clock and rotate to the desired angle for viewing.
  2. MODE BUTTON
    Changes among physical, emotional, intellectual and intuitive scans of individual users
  3. UP [] BUTTONS
    Scans the biorhythm of a user for a particular day or change the value of a setting
  4. DOWN [] BUTTONS
    Scans the biorhythm of a user for a particular day
  5. USER BUTTON
    Changes the user to be scanned for biorhythm or enters the birthdays of individual users
  6. CLOCK / ALARM BUTTON
    Changes among clock, calendar and alarm modes
  7. SNOOZE / LIGHT BUTTON
    Activates the snooze function or turns on the backlight
  8. ALARM ON / OFF BUTTON
    Changes the operating status of the daily alarms
  9. RESET BUTTON
    Returns all settings to default values

BATTERY INSTALLATION

  1. Remove the battery compartment door.
  2. Insert two AA-sized (UM-3) batteries.
  3. Replace the battery compartment door.

Replace the batteries when the low-battery indicator appears.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

  • Place the RM602 on a flat, sturdy surface.
  • Adjust the antenna to the best angle for viewing. The antenna can be rotated through 0, 30, 60 and 90 degrees.

THE BACKLIGHT

Press [SNOOZE/LIGHT] to turn on the backlight for five seconds.

SECTION 2 THE CALENDAR CLOCK

DISPLAY MODES

In normal display, the current time, including seconds, will be displayed. Press [CLOCK/ALARM] repeatedly to display the following in sequence:

  • Current time and day-of-the-week
  • Date
  • Time for ALARM 1
  • Time for ALARM 2
  • Current time and seconds

ABOUT RADIO RECEPTION

The RM602 is designed to automatically synchronize its current time and date when brought within range of the DCF77 RF signal.

When the unit is within range, its radio-control mechanism will override all manual settings.

When the unit is receiving radio signal, the reception icon will start to blink. The reception icon will show either strong, weak or no signal depending on the strength of the radio signal. A complete reception generally takes about two to 10 minutes.

When the reception is completed the reception icon will stop blinking. The reception icon will show [] for no reception or [] for successful reception.

For better reception of radio signals, place the clock away from metal objects and electrical appliances to minimize interference.

HOW TO ENABLE OR DISABLE AUTO-RECEPTION

If you wish to disable the auto-reception feature while the unit is within range, hold down the [CLOCK] and [] buttons simultaneously for two seconds. The [] signal will disappear. The unit will NOT respond to radio signals.

To enable the feature again, hold down the buttons again. The [] signal will start blinking to initiate reception automatically.

HOW TO SET THE CALENDAR CLOCK MANUALLY

When the current time is displayed,

  1. Press [CLOCK/ALARM] for two seconds.
  2. Enter the hours using []. Hold down [] to rapidly i n crease the value.
  3. Press [CLOCK/ALARM].
  4. Enter the minutes using [].
  5. Press [CLOCK/ALARM].
  6. Follow the same pattern to set year, month, day and date format(day-month or month-day).

Press [CLOCK/ALARM] to save the changes and exit. If changes are made for the minute, the seconds will reset and start from zero.

The unit will also save all changes and return to normal display automatically after the unit has been left idle for a minute.

HOW TO SET THE ALARMS

  1. Select ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 using [CLOCK/ALARM].
  2. Press and hold [CLOCK/ALARM] for two seconds.
  3. Use [] to enter the hours.
  4. Press [CLOCK/ALARM].
  5. Use [] to enter the minutes.
  6. Press [CLOCK/ALARM] to exit.

HOW TO USE THE ALARMS

To activate or deactivate an alarm, press [CLOCK/ALARM] to select the alarm and press [ALARM ON/OFF]. The alarm time will be displayed when the chosen alarm is activated. Otherwise, blanks will be displayed.

You can have both alarms enabled or disabled at the same time. When an alarm goes on, press [ALARM ON/OFF] to mute the alarm. Or press [SNOOZE/LIGHT] to activate the snooze function.

SNOOZE FUNCTION

When the snooze function is activated, the alarm will be muted temporarily and set on again after eight minutes. To disable the snooze function, press [ALARM ON/OFF].

SECTION 3 THE BIORHYTHM FUNCTION

HOW TO ENTER USER BIRTHDAYS

To have a biorhythm scan, you have to enter the user's birthday first. The RM602 can support up to three users.

To enter a birthday,

  1. Select USER 1, 2 or 3 by pressing [USER].
  2. Press and hold [USER] for two seconds.
  3. Use [] to enter the year of birth.
  4. Press [USER].
  5. Use [] to enter the month of birth.
  6. Press [USER].
  7. User [] to enter the day of birth.
  8. Press [USER] to exit.

Note: The birthday is constraint to the current day. If the birthday entered is after the current day, no biorhythm chart will be shown.

ABOUT BIORHYTHM

The unit can forecast the biorhythm of a user according to the entered birthday. The forecast includes conditions for physical, emotional, intellectual and intuitive element.

The conditions for the four elements fluctuate, since birth, over a fixed but individual cycle. The cycle for the physical, emotional, intellectual and intuitive elements are, approximately, 23 days, 28 days, 33 days and 38 days, respectively.

For each element, there are active (above zero level) and passive (below zero level) days. When crossing from active to passive, one is having a critical day; and a zero day if it is the contrary. So, do a scan on your biorhythm and make the most of your day.

HOW TO BIO-SCAN THE CURRENT DAY

  1. Select the user by pressing [USER].
  2. Select the bio element by pressing [MODE].

A kinetic display of the biorhythm will appear with the current day status flashing on the chart. An indicator will light up to show if your active or passive condition is increasing, decreasing or reaching the peak or trough.

And, to alert you to your critical days, a warning indicator will appear. Each cycle contains one zero day at the beginning and one critical day in the middle.

HOW TO BIO-SCAN A PARTICULAR DAY

  1. Select the user by pressing [USER].
  2. Select the bio element by pressing [MODE].
  3. Press [] for the previous day or [] for the next.

The unit is capable of scanning any day between user's birthday and 2099.

SECTION 4 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

THE RESET BUTTON

The [RESET] button is used to enhance synchronization of signals after battery replacement or when the unit is operating in an unfavourable way or malfunctioning. Use a blunt stylus to hold down the button. All settings will return to their default values.

PRECAUTIONS

This unit is engineered to give you years of satisfactory service if handled carefully.

  1. Do not immerse the unit in water.
  2. Do not clean the unit with abrasive or corrosive materials.
  3. Do not subject the unit to snow or excessive force, shock, dust, temperature or humidity.
  4. Do not tamper with the unit's internal components.
  5. Do not mix new and old batteries or batteries of different specifications.
