Power Failure

When this LED flashes, it indicates a power failure in one of the power supplies.

Drive Carrier LEDs

Two LEDs are located on the front of each drive carrier.
•
Green: Each drive carrier has a green LED. When illuminated, this green LED (on
the front of the drive carrier) indicates drive activity. A connection to the
backplane enables this LED to blink on and off when that particular drive
is being accessed.

Red:
The red LED indicates a drive failure. If one of the drives fails, you should
also be notified by your system management software. See Chapter 6 for
instructions on replacing drives.
