Connector Definitions

Power Connectors
Three power connectors are located at JPW1,
JPW2 and JPW9 to provide main power to the
serverboard. Seven 12V, 8-pin power con-
nectors, located at JPW3-8 and JPW11 (on
serverboard), CN602 and CN603 (on PDB), are
used for SATA devices and GPU cards (JPW5 is
for the backplane). An additional 4-pin auxil-
liary connector is located at JPW10. Connect
these power headers as described below.
JPW1: 62-pin (Required)
JPW2: 20-pin (Required)
JPW9: 38-pin (Required)
JPW11: 12V 8-pin for HDD backplane (Required)
JPW3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8: 12V 8-pin for GPU cards power
CON602, 603 (on PDB): 12V 8-pin for GPU cards power
JPW10: 5V 4-pin Auxilliary
Power Button Connector
The PW_ON connector is on pins 1 and 2 of
JF1. Momentarily contacting both pins will
power on/off the system. This button can also
be configured to function as a suspend button
(with a setting in the BIOS, see Chapter 7). To
turn off the power when set to suspend mode,
press the button for at least 4 seconds. Refer
to the table on the right for pin definitions.
This header should be connected to the chas-
sis power button. See the table on the right
for pin definitions.
