Connect the USB cable between the computer and the printer.

Turn on the printer power.

Start the Diagnostic Utility by double clicking on the

The Diagnostic Utility default interface setting is USB. If the USB
interface is connected to the printer, no other settings need to be
changed in the interface field.

Click on the Printer Function "Ethernet Setup" button. DHCP is the
default. Select "Static IP" to assign the IP address, subnet mask and
gateway for the on board Ethernet.
