Addressing SBUS Devices

4.9.4 To Remove the EVS-RVM
To remove the EVS-RVM follow these steps:
1.
Remove AC power and disconnect batteries from the main control panel.
2.
Disconnect the SBUS connections from the SBUS terminals on the EVS-RVM. Refer to Figure 4.54.
3.
Disconnect any devices connected to the VBUS. Refer to Figure 4.55.
4.
Unplug the microphone from the microphone connector. See Figure 4.56.
5.
Remove the six 0.25" hex nuts that hold the EVS-RVM in place.
6.
Lift the EVS-RVM off of the dead front panel.
4.10 Addressing SBUS Devices
When installing a hardware module (such as 5815XL, 6815, 5824, 6860, 5860, 6855, 5496, 5895XL, 5865-3 or 5865-4, EVS-50W, EVS-
INT50W, EVS-125W, EVS-100W, EVS-VCM, and EVS-RVM), use the DIP switches on the module to assign an ID# to the module.
Figure 4.58 shows all possible DIP switch positions and their correlation to a numerical ID. For example, to select ID 2, place DIP switch 2
in the up position.

and cannot be used.
