" On vehicles being transported, only the following towing points recommended by the manufacturers
are authorised;
Towing brackets on vehicles fitted with them, provided that they are not pulled sideways.
Bumper fittings or crosspieces on vehicles fitted with towing brackets; however it is forbidden to
pass the strap over the bumper face bars.
The following mechanical components must not be used as anchoring points: suspension arms,
driveshafts, anti-roll bars, leaf springs, wheel rims.
Detachable towing rings must be fitted in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines (handbook
of the vehicle being transported)
" On certain types of flatbed recovery vehicle, there is no option to secure using chocks, therefore the
vehicle must be secured by at least two wheels using straps with tensioners encircling the tyres (ferry-
type) and fixed to the recovery vehicle's conveyor track. This system allows the transported vehicle's
suspension to move freely.
