Both types of securing should be used in all cases
" When securing, the maximum forces that may occur during transportation, such as under sudden
braking, must be taken into account.
" The securing operations must be carried out as follows;
Either two chocks in front of the front wheels and two chocks behind the rear wheels.
Or two chocks in front of the front wheels and two chocks behind the wheels of the most heavily
laden axle.
" The strap securing operations must be carried out as follows;
One strap is fixed to the floor of the recovery vehicle and placed around the edge of the tyre on a
rear wheel of the vehicle being transported
One strap is fixed to the front towing point of the vehicle being transported and to the floor of the
recovery vehicle.
