Complete the following steps to migrate from OTM 2.2 installed on one operating system
to TM 3.0 on a different operating system.

Perform a full backup of the TM 3.0 data on the Windows 2000 Server system,
using the TM 3.0 backup utility.
Install TM 3.0 on the Windows 2003 Server system.
Transfer the backed up data from the Windows 2000 Server system to the Windows
2003 Server system.
Restore the backed up data to the Windows 2003 Server system using the TM 3.0
restore utility.
Before migrating, go to OTM Navigator > Maintenance > Event log viewer >
Tools > SNMP Trap settings and ensure that the Lock Properties checkbox is
unchecked in the Trap Settings dialog box.
WARNING
Back up the Alarm Notification control and script files separately.
The script files can be replaced during a software upgrade.
Upgrade OTM 2.2 to TM 3.0 on the existing operating system.
Reboot the system and allow database migration to complete.
Launch the TM 3.0 navigator (>utilities>Backup utility). Perform a full backup.
Install TM 3.0 on the new operating system.
Reboot the system.
