DESCRIPTION
Select t he check box at t he t op t o enable syslog, and deselect t o disable t his funct ion.
Select t he " act ive" check box t o enable t he server's logging funct ion.
Select t his opt ion t o set t he device t o generat e logs for t he corresponding cat egory.
The default Facilit y is local use 7. Click t o select ot her syslog server funct ions from t he
pull- down m enu.
Click Apply t o save your changes t o t he Swit ch's run- t im e m em ory. The Swit ch loses
t hese changes if it is t urned off or loses power.
Click Ca n ce l t o begin configuring t his screen afresh.
DESCRIPTION
Select t his check box t o have t he Swit ch send logs t o t his syslog server. Clear t he
check box if you want t o creat e a syslog server ent ry but not have t he Swit ch send
logs t o it ( you can edit t he ent ry lat er) .
Ent er t he I P address of t he syslog server.
Select t he severit y level( s) of t he logs t hat you want t he Swit ch t o send t o t his syslog
server. The lower t he num ber, t he m ore crit ical t he logs are.
Click Add t o save your changes t o t he Swit ch's run- t im e m em ory. The Swit ch loses
t hese changes if it is t urned off or loses power.
