FUEL GAUGE BATTERY PACKS (FIG. 2)
Some D WALT battery packs include a fuel
gauge which consists of three green LED lights
that indicate the level of charge remaining in the
battery pack.
To actuate the fuel gauge, press and hold the
fuel gauge button (X). A combination of the three
green LED lights will illuminate designating the
level of charge left. When the level of charge
in the battery is below the usable limit, the fuel
gauge will not illuminate and the battery will need
to be recharged.
NOTE: The fuel gauge is only an indication
of the charge left on the battery pack. It does
not indicate tool functionality and is subject
to variation based on product components,
temperature and end-user application.
Removing and Refi tting the
Hose (Fig. 3)
REMOVING
1. Take the hose nozzle (B) out of the fitting (C).
2. Turn the connecting piece (D) anti-clockwise.
3. Pull the hose off the vacuum inlet (E) at the
connecting piece.
REFITTING
1. Insert the hose connector (D) into the tank
inlet (E) taking care to align the tabs on
the connector with the notches in the tank
inlet hole.
2. Turn the connecting piece clockwise to fix the
hose it position.
3. Insert the hose nozzle (B) into the vacuum
nozzle (C).

OPERATION

WARNING: Always observe

WARNING: To reduce the risk of
serious personal injury, turn tool
off and disconnect battery pack
before making any adjustments or
removing/installing attachments or
accessories. An accidental start-up
can cause injury.
Switching on and off (fi g. 1)
• To switch the tool on, set the on/off switch (A)
to position I.

• To switch the tool off, set the on/off switch (A)
to position O.
Vacuuming (fi g. 1)
• Empty and clean the tank (F) before use.
• Ensure the hose is mounted correctly.
• Move the vacuum nozzle (C) over the surface
to be cleaned. If necessary, the hose nozzle
(B) can be utilized for confined spaces.
NOTE: It is recommended not mixing wet and dry
substances. When switching substances, empty
and clean the tank first.
WARNING: Always use the tool in
upright position. Do not tilt the tool to
prevent liquids collected in the tank
from entering the motor housing.
WARNING: Always operate the tool
with the dust filter in place.
Emptying the tank (fi g. 4)
The tank must be emptied when the suction
power reduces significantly.
1. Release the latch (E) and remove the tank
(F).
2. Empty the contents of the tank with due care
for the environment.
3. Clean the filter (I). Refer to Cleaning.
4. Clean if necessary the tank (F) and reinstall,
securing the latch.

MAINTENANCE

Your D WALT power tool has been designed
to operate over a long period of time with a
minimum of maintenance. Continuous satisfactory
operation depends upon proper tool care and
regular cleaning.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of
serious personal injury, turn tool
off and disconnect battery pack
before making any adjustments or
removing/installing attachments or
accessories. An accidental start-up
can cause injury.
The charger and battery pack are not serviceable.
Lubrication
Your power tool requires no additional lubrication.
