The Firewall Router's Rear Panel
The rear panel of the FR314 is shown in
number of ports and the absence of an Uplink switch. Refer to this diagram to identify the firewall
router ports before attempting to make any connections.

Connecting the Firewall Router
Before using your firewall router, you need to do the following:
•
Connect your local Ethernet network to the LOCAL port(s) of the firewall router (described
next).
•
Connect your cable or DSL modem to the INTERNET port of the firewall router (see
2-6).
