Parameters
5.1
Configuration options
Definition
The selected configuration determines the scope of the input and output address areas that are
used in the I/O system.
Description
The following configurations are possible, each with process values in the output address area
and value status in the input address area:
• without HART variables in the input address area
• with 4 HART variables in the input address area
• with a multiHART range in the input/output address area
Configuration options
With configuration in HW Config configuration is carried out indirectly via the parameter
assignment dialog of the module.
Note
Direct re-configuration of parameters of the I/O module, to another of the listed configurations
is not possible in the RUN of the CPU. For this, in a first step you have to remove the I/O module
in the RUN of the CPU and in a further step add the I/O module with new configuration in the RUN
of the CPU. Also note a resulting change in the I/O address area.
5.2
Parameter types
Definition
You define operation of the I/O module and thereby influence the functions supported by the
module via the parameter types.
