Terminal marking (1U1-1)
According to IEC / EN 60034-8, the following basic definitions apply to the
terminal markings for 3-phase machines:

Circuit diagram inside the terminal box cover
Data on the connection and connecting the machine winding can be found in
the circuit diagram in the cover of the terminal box.

Direction of rotation
The standard motors are suitable for clockwise and counter-clockwise
rotation.
For defined directions of rotation (direction of rotation arrow), appropriately
connect the line power cables.

Marking
Index for pole assignment for pole-changing machines
where applicable. A lower index signifies a lower speed.
Special case for split winding.

Phase designation U, V, W
Index for winding start (1) or end (2) or if there is more

than one connection per winding
Additional indices for cases in which it is obligatory to

connect parallel power feed cables to several terminals
with otherwise identical markings
Star connection
