1.4 Setup Sequence

The setup sequence is as follows:
<1> Connect the emulation board (IE-784000-R-EM).
→ Refer to the User's Manual for the I/O emulation board.
<2> Connect the I/O emulation board (to emulate the target device).
→ Refer to the User's Manual for the I/O emulation board.
<3> Set the user clock (when necessary).
Change the operating clock on the I/O emulation board when necessary.
→ Refer to the User's Manual for the I/O emulation board.
<4> Connect the I/O emulation board and connector board.
Connect the connector board (supplied with the optional emulation probe) to the I/O emulation board (optional).
→ Refer to the User's Manual for the I/O emulation board or emulation probe.
<5> Connect the accessory cables.
Connect the power cable and interface cable.
→ Refer to CHAPTER 2 NAMES AND FUNCTIONS OF RESPECTIVE PARTS in this manual.
<6> Connect the IE-784000-R to peripheral equipment.
Connect the host machine.
→ Refer to CHAPTER 6 CONNECTING PERIPHERAL EQUIPMENT in this manual.
<7> Connect the target system.
Connect the emulation probe (optional) and target system.
→ Refer to CHAPTER 7 CONNECTING TARGET SYSTEM in this manual and the User's Manual for the I/O
emulation board or emulation probe.
Remark Connect the emulation board <1>, set the user clock <3>, and connect the I/O emulation board and
connector board <4> at the same time to enhance the efficiency.
