Installing the External Iridium Antenna

You can use the included bracket to mount the Iridium antenna to an external surface on your vehicle.

For some types of mounting material, drilling pilot holes is necessary. Do not drill through the mount.

5 Route the antenna cable into the vehicle and connect it to IRIDIUM on the dock.

Installing the Dock on a Vehicle Surface

Before you can mount the dock, you must select a mounting location and purchase the appropriate hardware for
your mounting surface.
Avoid wires, gauges, air bags, air bag covers, HVAC, and other items when drilling pilot holes and attaching the
mount to the vehicle. Garmin is not responsible for any damages or consequences arising from the installation.
1 Trim the included mounting template and place it in the location where you want to mount the device.
2 Using a jigsaw or rotary tool, cut the mounting surface along the inside of the dashed line indicated on the
template.
3 Place the dock into the cutout to test the fit.
4 Remove the dock from the cutout.
5 If necessary, use a file and sandpaper to refine the size of the cutout.
6 Drill the pilot holes in the locations marked on the mounting template.
7 Remove the template from the mounting surface.
8 If you will not have access to the back of the dock after you mount it, connect all of the necessary cables to
the dock before placing it into the cutout.
