OPERATION

Before first applying power

Before first applying power, make sure all connections required for your system are complete by referring to
Chapter 2 or the PDF type Advanced Instructions.
After all connections have been done, set controls and switch as shown in the figure below.
[TWIN PBT]: Center
[AF]: Max. CCW*
[RF/SQL]: Center
* CCW: counterclockwise

Applying power

First applying power:
Reset the transceiver using the following procedure.
Resetting CLEARS all programmed contents in
memory channels and returns to their default val-
ues in Quick Set mode and Set mode.
q Make sure the transceiver power is OFF.
w While holding down
to turn ON power.
• The internal CPU is reset.
• The transceiver displays its initial VFO frequencies
when resetting is complete.
e All Quick Set mode and Set mode settings are re-
turned to their default values. (pp. 26, 27)
Normal applying power:
Push
to turn ON power
If any of icons appear, turn them OFF if necessary. (See
the appropriate page for details).
