Notes:
1. Rules for GPU adapters:
• All installed GPU adapters must be identical.
• If a double-wide GPU adapter is installed in slot 5, 7 or 2, the adjacent slot 4, 8, or 1 respectively is
not available.
• If a NVIDIA A10 adapter is installed on PCIe slot 1, 4, or 7, the adjacent slot 2, 5, or 8 respectively
cannot be installed with any other PCIe adapters.
• GPU adapters are supported on some server models with thermal requirements. For detailed
information, see "Server models with GPUs" on page 195.
2. The internal customer form factor (CFF) RAID/HBA adapter is supported only when two processors are
installed.
3. Rules for the internal standard form factor (SFF) RAID/HBA adapters:
• RAID/HBA 430/530/930 adapters and RAID 940 adapters cannot be installed at the same time.
• HBA 430, RAID 530, and RAID 930 adapters can be installed at the same time.
• The RAID 940-8i or RAID 940-16i adapter supports Trimode. When Trimode is enabled, the server
supports up to 24 U.3 NVMe SSD drives (U.2 NVMe SSD not supported).
• The virtual RAID on CPU (VROC) key and Trimode are not supported at the same time.
• A RAID 930 or 940 adapter requires a RAID super capacitor.
4. For the RAID 930-8e adapter, only a maximum of 4 external RAID adapters are supported.
5. If the following Ethernet adapters are installed, only a maximum of 6 Ethernet adapters are supported.
• Broadcom 57508 100GbE QSFP56 2-port PCIe 4 Ethernet Adapter
