Repair Section
Ice thickness sensor
1. Push and release the Off switch.
2. Remove front and top panels.
3. Push and release the Harvest switch
4. Remove the evaporator cover.
5. Disconnect electrical power.
6. Open the control box.
7. Remove curtain.
8. Locate sensor, squeeze mounting legs together to release it from the mounting bracket.
9. Remove sensor, follow wire back to control box.
10. Disconnect from controller connection J10.
11. Remove sensor from machine.
12. Reverse to reassemble.
13. Set initial probe-to-evaporator-surface gap using a 7/32" drill bit as a gauge.
Note: Thin ice, short freeze cycles, and premature harvest can be the result of a dirty ITS and/or
Irregular water flow over the spillway. Please ensure that the sensor and spillway are properly cleaned
before proceeding with replacement. If the sensor is physically intact replacement is not necessary
and may result in a rejected warranty claim if turned in for warranty purposes.
