nuts to secure the weight tray to the mounts

Insert the retaining rod into the tray and rotate it
into the locked position
Important:
Remove the suitcase weight whenever
you remove the bagger attachment.

Removing the Grass
Deflector and Belt Cover
No Parts Required
Procedure
WARNING
An uncovered discharge opening could allow
the machine to throw objects toward you or
bystanders and result in serious injury. Also,
contact with the blade could occur.
Never operate the lawn mower unless you
install a mulch plate, discharge deflector, or

grass-collection system.
Inspect the grass deflector for damage before each
use. Replace any damaged parts before use.

Disengage the spring from the notch in the
deflector bracket and remove the cotter pin (CE
models only), slide the rod out of the welded
deck brackets, spring, and discharge deflector
(Figure
6).
