INTERMITTENT CONTROL SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING

CORRECTIVE MEASURE
What To Do If You Smell Gas
• Do not try to light any appliance.
• Do not touch any electrical switch;
• Do not use any phone in your building.
• Immediately call your gas supplier from a
neighbor's phone. Follow the gas supplier's
instructions.
• If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the fire
department.
Check connections with leak detecting solution
Check connections with wiring diagram
Install new batteries
Sync receiver with remote. See page 34.
Turn shutoff valve to "open" position
Turn fireplace "off" for 2 minutes and then back "on"
Check voltage. Replace batteries if low.
Clean flame sensor and pilot igniter. See
maintenance pages 29 and 30.
Check ground connections
Check sensor wire terminals
Adjust gas pressure
Replace pilot tube
Replace Pilot
Replace Valve
Check voltage. Replace batteries if low.
Wait for pilot flame to strengthen
Check pressures. See pages 18 and 19.
Clean pilot. See maintenance pages 29 and 30.
Check ground connections
DV: vent restrictor not installed VF: redirect draft
from room or wall
