Overview
After physically installing the Instant
Gigabit Network Adapter in your comput-
er, follow these instructions to install the
network driver. The installation procedure
for the network driver will vary slightly
depending on which version of Windows
2000 you are using, and on your current
system configuration. If at any time during
the installation you encounter problems,
consult the Troubleshooting section.
Installing the Driver in Windows 2000
Installing the Network Adapter's Drivers
After physically installing the Instant Gigabit Network Adapter in your com-
puter, follow these instructions to install the network driver.
1. Start your computer if you haven't already done so, and boot Windows
2000. Log in if you are asked to. You must have administrative rights to
complete this installation.
2. The Found New Hardware window will appear, indicating that Windows
has found the Adapter.

3. Windows will display the Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard
box. Click Next.
4. The Install Hardware Device Drivers dialog box will appear. When
Ethernet Controller is displayed, select "Search for a suitable driver for my
device (Recommended)". Click Next.
