8. Once the driver is

installed, the following

screen will appear.

The default settings

should

allow

the

Adapter to function

properly.

Click the

OK button to continue.

refer to the Advanced

Settings section of this

manual.

9. When asked if you want to restart your PC, remove all disks and click Yes.

If Windows does not ask you to restart your PC, click the Start button,

choose Shut Down, choose Restart, then click Yes.

The Windows 98 driver installation is complete. Refer to the section on

Configuring the Instant Gigabit Network Adapter for Windows 95, 98, and

Millennium for more information about the setup of the Adapter.

N N o o t t e e : : From this point on, you must provide Windows with a

User name and Password every time you are prompted to

do so. Remember to click O O K K to properly log into Windows.

If you click C C a a n n c c e e l l or hit the E E s s c c a a p p e e ( ( E E S S C C ) ) key, you will not

log into the network.

After physically installing the Instant Gigabit Network Adapter in your com-

puter, follow these instructions to install the network driver. The installation
