The ESD-9220 WX will also announce the reception
of these signals with the statement,"Be careful...X
Alert, K Alert, Ka Alert, Laser Alert,VG-2 Alert®,
Emergency Vehicle Approaching, Road Hazard
Ahead,Train Approaching,Weather Alert."

The display will show the band (X, K/Ka). The
signal strength will first be indicated by the band
being illuminated, then by
LEDs which increase in size as you approach the
radar gun. At the same time the frequency of the
beeps will increase. Distinct tones will also be
generated for each band.

The Cobra® ESD-9220 WX is also designed to
detect Instant-on speed monitoring signals.
