To share your tablet's mobile data connection through Bluetooth:
1. Pair your tablet with your computer. See "Using Bluetooth devices" on page 26.

To share your tablet's mobile data connection by turning your tablet into a portable Wi-Fi hotspot:
1. From the main Home screen, touch the Android Settings icon

2. Touch Wireless & networks ➙ Tethering & portable hotspot ➙ Portable Wi-Fi hotspot.
3. After a moment, the tablet starts broadcasting its Wi-Fi network name (SSID). Now other computers or
devices can share the tablet's mobile data connection.
4. To stop sharing your data connection through Wi- Fi, clear the Portable Wi-Fi hotspot check box.
To secure your portable Wi-Fi hotspot:
1. From the main Home screen, touch the Android Settings icon

2. Touch Wireless & networks ➙ Tethering & portable hotspot ➙ Configure Wi-Fi hotspot.
3. Touch the Security menu to configure the network with Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 security with a
preshared key (WPA2 PSK).
If you touch WPA2 PSK, a password field is displayed in the Configure Wi-Fi hotspot dialog box. After
you type a password, you need to type that password the next time you connect to the tablet's hotspot
with a computer or other device. To remove the password, touch Open on the Security menu.
4. Touch Save.

You tablet has a micro USB connector and a full-size USB connector to connect USB compatible devices.

Using the micro USB connector

Use the micro USB connector together with the supplied USB cable to connect your tablet to your personal
computer to charge the tablet battery, transfer files, or share your mobile data connection.
When the tablet is connected to your computer through the micro-USB connector, a menu is displayed on
your tablet with the following options:
• Low-power charge only. (Please turn off your tablet's screen)
If you choose this option, turn off the tablet screen by pressing the power button.
