Using enhanced wireless features

For your easy management of wireless network connections at different locations, Lenovo has enhanced
the wireless features with the following functions:
• The wireless network profiles import and export function. See "Importing Wi-Fi profiles from a ThinkPad
notebook computer to your tablet" on page 37.
• Advanced wireless power management. See "Configuring the wireless network disconnect policy"
on page 38.
Importing Wi-Fi profiles from a ThinkPad notebook computer to your
tablet
If you have several Wi-Fi settings profiles that have been configured and saved on a ThinkPad notebook
computer, you can capture and import those profiles to your tablet. By capturing and importing existing
profiles, you can avoid having to manually configure wireless settings on your tablet. After the process is
complete, the tablet automatically connects to the same Wi-Fi networks as the ThinkPad notebook host
computer does.
To import Wi-Fi profiles from a ThinkPad notebook computer to your tablet, you can either capture the
Wi-Fi profiles from your ThinkPad notebook computer by yourself, or ask your IT administrator to manually
generate deployable Wi-Fi profiles and import them into your tablet. For the latter method, consult your IT
administrator for further help.
