methods, Constant Bit Rate (CBR) and Variable Bit Rate
(VBR). VBR files while saving some space, are decoded
on-the-fly, causing a slight lag or stutter when setting a
CUE point. They can also cause a slight skip during play-
back if the units memory buffer is over run. CBR files,
conversely, take up a little more room but are quick to
process which means no lag in CUE setting or playback.
VBR files can easily be converted to CBR using any com-
mercially available MP3 ripping software.

CONSTANT BIT RATE (CBR) vs. VARIABLE BIT RATE
(VBR) MP3: Los archivos son creados (codificados) us-
ando dos métodos básicos, Constant Bit Rate (CBR) and
Variable Bit Rate (VBR). Los archivos VBR mientras ahor-
ran algo de espacio, son codificados sobre la marcha, cau-
sando un ligero retraso o efecto "tartamudeo" al selec-
cionar un punto CUE. También pueden producir un ligero

ocupan un poco más de espacio pero tienen un proceso

A l'inverse, les fichiers encodés en CBR sont plus volu-
mineux mais aussi plus stables car parfaitement finalisés.
Nous recommandons l'usage de ces derniers afin d'éviter
tout problème potentiel de lecture.
Les fichiers VBR peuvent facilement & rapidement être
convertis en CBR en utilisant tout logiciel de conversion/

Sie könne auch Sprünge während der Wiedergabe hervor-
rufen, wenn der Wiedergabepuffer voll ist. CBR-Dateien
jedoch sind zwar etwas größer, jedoch wesentlich bess-
er zu decodieren, wodurch keinerlei Verzögerung oder
Sprünge während der Wiedergabe. VBR-Titel können mit
den meisten handelsüblichen MP3 Software-Encodern in

TURNING THE DEVICE ON / OFF: Press the [POWER]
button to turn the device on. The status LED to the left
of the switch and the display backlight will light up. If you
want to turn the device off press the [POWER] button
again.

che [POWER] de nouveau.

the transport is handled by the device. Subsequently, the
device reads the disc (the EJECT indicator is flashing) and
remains in Pause mode of track 1 of an audio CD or the
first track in the alphabetically first folder with MP3 files.
The flashing button indicates the Pause mode.
INSERCIÓN DE UN DISCO: Inserte un CD de audio o un
CD-R con archivos MP3 con cuidado alrededor de la mi-
tad en la ranura del disco. El resto del transporte es mane-
jado por el dispositivo. Posteriormente, el dispositivo lee
el disco (el indicador EJECT parpadea) y se mantiene en

PLAYBACK: Press the ( ) button to start playback. The

Press the button once to skip to the beginning of the cur-
rent track. Press ( ) twice to skip to the beginning of
the previous track. If you keep the [FWD] button pressed
during playback, the playback jumps ahead in increments
of 5 seconds. If you keep the [REV] button pressed during
playback, the playback will jump backwards in increments
of 5 seconds. If you keep the [FWD] button pressed when
playback is paused, you can move the playback position
in single frames forward. If you keep the [REV] button
pressed when playback is paused, you can move the play-
