During a bulb exposure, pressing the shutter button completely will turn off the

LCD panel illumination.
p Button
You can illuminate the LCD panel by
pressing the < U > button. Turn on ( 9 ) or
off the LCD panel illumination by pressing
the < U > button.
In still photo shooting, has the same eff ect
as pressing the shutter button halfway, in
Creative Zone modes ( = 57).
In movie recording as well, enables
autofocusing in Creative Zone modes.
