Removing the fan assembly

To remove a rear fan, complete the following steps:
1. Read the safety information that begins on page vii and "Installation guidelines"
2. Turn off the computer and attached devices; then, disconnect all power cords

c. While gently applying pressure against the PCI support cage, slide the
upper drive cage alignment pin into the housing, and rest the drive bay on
the drive cage release tab.
6. Insert the last screw into the PCI support cage and tighten all four screws.
7. Reconnect any cables that you disconnected earlier.
8. Install any adapters that you removed.
9. Replace the air baffle.
a. Orient the air baffle as shown and align it with the side of the power supply.
b. Insert the small end of the air baffle into the computer toward the front of
the computer.
c. Lower the larger end of the air baffle until the side flange rests on the
power supply.
d. Slide the baffle toward the rear of the computer until it stops and the rear
flange (locking lip) is inside the computer chassis; then, press down on the
large end of the air baffle until it clicks into place.
