How to Proceed

Note – Installation of Microsoft Windows on your UltraSPARC system for use with
the SunPCi II card differs from installation on a PC. Even though you may have a
strong understanding of Microsoft Windows installation instructions, it is critical
that you follow the instructions in this guide.
To get started with the SunPCi II 2.3 software configuration, proceed to Chapter 2.
To configure and use multiple cards with the SunPCi II 2.3 product, proceed to
Chapter 3.
Before configuring your network connections, read about SunPCi II 2.3
networking options in Chapter 4.
Once you have installed and configured the SunPCi II hardware and software, you
can install one or more supported version of Microsoft Windows. The easiest way to
do this is to choose an operating system to install when you choose the Create a
New Emulated Drive from the SunPCi Options menu. See Chapter 2 for instructions.
See the following chapters for additional information about configuring and using
each operating system, and for performing upgrades and custom installations.
