IX. Connecting the cables
1. Connect the main unit and networking equipment
(HUB) using the network cable.
Note:
The following shows the recommended network
cables that correspond to each communication
speed.
• 10BaseT/100BaseTX: Category 5
• 1000BaseT: Category 5E, Category 6
2. Connect the supplied power cord as shown
below:
(1) Connect the plug of the power cord into the
main unit.
(2) Plug the power cord into the power outlet.
3. Turn ON the Main Power Switch.
X. Date/Time setting
1. Select the Date/Time Setting function as follows:
Utility → Administrator Settings → Enter the
Administrator Password (Default setting:
12345678) → System Settings → Date & Time
Settings.
2. Touch "Date Settings."
3. Touch the input area and touch "Delete". Then,
input the date, month and year using on-screen
buttons and touch "OK".
4. Touch "OK."
5. Touch "Time Settings."
6. Touch the input area and touch "Delete". Then,
input the time using on-screen buttons and touch
"OK".
7. Touch "OK."
8. Touch "Time Zone" to set the time zone.
9. Touch "OK."
10. Continue to touch "Close" until the initial screen
appears.
XI. Install date
1. Display the Service Mode screen.
(For details of how to display the Service Mode
screen, see the service manual.)
2. Select the Install Date function as follows:
System 1 → Install Date.
3. Touch the input area and touch "Delete". Then,
input the date, month and year using on-screen
buttons and touch "OK".
4. Touch "Register."
5. Touch "Close" two times.
XII. Unit change
Note:
This function allows the user to select the type of
message that will appear when the replacement
time arrives for each of the different units.
1. Select the Unit Change function as follows:
System 2 → Unit Change.
2. Select the appropriate message type for each
unit.
3. Touch "Close" two times.

XIII. List output
1. Load the tray 1 with A4 or Letter paper.
2. Touch "List Output."
3. Touch "Management List."
4. Touch "Print" and then touch "OK".
5. Touch "Adjustments List."
6. Touch "Print" and then touch "OK".
7. Touch "Service Parameter."
8. Touch "Print" and then touch "OK".
9. Touch "Close."
10. Touch "Close" on the Service Mode screen.
11. Turn OFF and ON the Main Power Switch.
Note:
When displayed the Service Mode screen, be sure
to turn off the main power after exiting the Service
Mode screen and wait for 10 seconds or more
before turning on.
XIV. Network setting
Make the TCP/IP address setting for the network.
Note:
Consult the network administrator for the setting
value to be entered and make settings as
required.
1. Select the function to be used as follows:
Utility → Administrator Settings → Enter the
Administrator Password → Network Settings →
TCP/IP Settings → IPv4 Settings.
2. Make the following settings.
IP Address: IP address of the controller
Subnet Mask: Subnet mask of the network, to
which the machine is connected
Default Gateway: IP address of the default gate-
way
3. Continue to touch "Close" until the Network Set-
tings screen appears.
4. Select the function to be used as follows:
Detail Settings → Device Settings → Network
Speed.
5. Touch "Auto" and then touch "OK".
6. Continue to touch "Close" until the initial screen
appears.
7. Turn OFF and ON the Main Power Switch.
XV. Affixing the labels
Affix the supplied panel sheet to the surface of the
operation panel.
Note:
• The panel sheet is affixed on customer request.
• The panel sheet must be kept by the customer.
