8. Be sure the arbor lock is released so the blade turns freely.

Using Carbide-Tipped Blades
Handle carbide-tipped blades carefully. Carbide is very brittle and can be easily damaged. Use
caution when you install, use or store the blades. Do not use a carbide-tipped blade that is
bent or has bent teeth, or if the blade has cracks, is broken, or has missing/loose carbide tips.
Do not operate a carbide-tipped blade faster than its recommended speed.
Read, understand and follow all warnings and instructions provided with your carbide-tipped
blades.
Installing the Dust Bag
1. Simply push the dust bag 1 completely
onto the dust port 2 (Figure 5).
2. Position dust bag so that it does not
interfere with the tool during the cutting
operation for all miter/bevel settings.
The dust bag requires emptying when full
of sawdust. Empty it frequently and after
completion of sawing. Carefully remove dust
bag from dust port. Empty dust bag in proper
trash bin by unzipping the bag. Zip the bag
before installing on the dust port.
WARNING
in fine particle form may be explosive. Do
not throw sawdust on an open fire.
Spontaneous combustion, may in time, result from mixture of oil or water with dust particles.
The dust port 1 can also be attached to a standard 1-1/4" vacuum tube for dust collection.
WARNING
precautions. A suitable respirator must be worn by all personnel entering the work area. Work
area should be sealed by plastic sheeting and persons not protected should be kept out until
work area is thoroughly cleaned.
