6) Reset

Before the DUT is packaged, the unit should be reset to factory defaults.
This resets the EEPROM persistent memory.

Items Required

1 ME1 Assembled Unit (DUT) which has PASSED Final Assembly QC
1 P3 type Alesis Power Supply
Reset
1) Press the UP and DOWN buttons on the DUT and hold these buttons
during Step 2. When started in this manner, the unit will RESET.
2) Plug the P3 type Alesis Power Supply into a power source and the
barrel jack into the DUT Power In jack.
Verify that the front panel LEDs show normal power up message,
"DEQ224". After this message "RESET" should display briefly on
the LEDs. After "RESET" shows, the DUT should go into normal
RUN mode.
Problems with this inspection indicate that the unit has not
RESET.
3) Unplug the power supply to the DUT.
