What Do I Do Now?

After you have installed the Cisco 7500 series router hardware, checked all external connections, turned
on the system power, allowed the system to boot up, and minimally configured the system, you might
need to perform more complete and complex configurations, which are beyond the scope of this text.

Using the Flash Memory Cards in the RSPs

This section describes procedures for using the Flash memory cards in the RSPs in the Cisco 7500 series
routers.
The Flash memory card can be inserted and removed with the power on. In the following procedures, the

Installing and Removing a Flash Memory Card in an RSP

The RSP has two PC Card slots—slot 0 and slot 1—into which you can install a Flash memory card. In
the RSP2, RSP4, and RSP8, the orientation is vertical. PC Card slot 0 is on the left and slot 1 is on the
