Overview
This chapter is a summary of the main features of the HP system BIOS. For a more detailed
and general description of the system BIOS refer to the System BIOS for IBM PCs,
Compatibles, and EISA Computers manual by Phoenix Technologies Ltd. Ordering
information for this manual can be found in the preface.
The HP BIOS is very similar to the Phoenix BIOS, with the exception of the CMOS memory
layout and the POST routines. Refer to this chapter and to "Power-On Self Tests" for
information on these exceptions.
