Oil Recommendations
All-season KOHLER
®
PRO 10W-50 Synthetic Oil is the ideal
oil for KOHLER engines. It is specifically formulated to
extend the oil change interval to 300 Hours. Contact your
Kohler authorized dealer for availability.
300-Hour oil change intervals are exclusive to and only
authorized on KOHLER engines that utilize the KOHLER
PRO 10W-50 Synthetic Oil. Alternative engine oils may be
used with KOHLER engines but require 100-Hour oil change
intervals for proper maintenance. Oil must be API (American
Petroleum Institute) service class SJ or higher. Select
viscosity based on air temperature at time of operation as
shown in Figure 2.

Circuit breaker
Generator set's electrical circuit is protected by one or more magnetothermal, differential or thermal cut-out switches. If an overload
and/or short circuit occurs, supply of electrical energy may be cut.
If necessary, replace circuit breaker (A) in generator set with circuit breakers with identical nominal ratings and specifications.

DisCOver – Carbon Monoxide (CO) Shutdown System
CO Sensor automatically shuts down the engine when harmful levels of carbon monoxide accumulate around the generator or a
CO sensor fault occurs. After shutdown, the CO sensor indicator light (A16) will blink for at least five minutes per the chart below.
CO sensor DOES NOT replace carbon monoxide alarms.
Install battery-powered carbon monoxide alarm(s) in your home. Don't run generator in enclosed areas.
Color
Description
Carbon monoxide accumulated around the generator. Prior to restarting move the generator to an open, outdoor area 20 ft. (6
m) from occupied spaces with exhaust pointed away. Air out premises (open windows and doors) before reoccupying property.
Red
Automatic shutoff is an indication generator was improperly located.
If you start to feel sick, dizzy, weak, or your home's carbon monoxide alarm sounds while using this product, get to fresh air
right away. Call emergency services. You may have carbon monoxide poisoning.
Yellow
CO Sensor fault occurred.*
* Yellow light will blink for five seconds at the startup of the generator to show the CO sensor functioning properly.
