subject: PANORAMA SUNROOF VIBRATION/CHATTER DURING NORMAL OPERATION
This bulletin provides information relating to some Sorento (XM) vehicles equipped with panoramic
sunroof and built from October 23, 2009 to May 24, 2010 that may experience a vibration or chatter
noise during normal sunroof operation. The cause for this is a lack of lubrication in both left and
right-side sunroof track channels. To improve customer satisfaction Kia is launching this Field Fix
to add the proper amount of lubricant to both right and left sunroof track channels to eliminate
sunroof vibration and chatter on all affected Kia Sorento (XM) vehicles. Application of silicone
based generic lubricant in the sunroof track channel.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Open the Sunroof completely, and then use shop air to blow out any foreign material or dust
build up in the track channels.
