Monitor settings in the

the system board has
the physical
appearance of a PCI
Express x16 connector;
however, the platform
does NOT support the
use of conventional PCI
Express cards or
reversed-layout ADD2
cards.

Solution
1. Restart the computer and press
F8 during startup when you see
"Press F8" in the bottom right
corner of the screen.
2. Using the keyboard arrow keys,
select Enable VGA Mode
and press Enter.
3. In Windows Control Panel,
double-click the Display icon
and select the Settings tab.
4. Use the sliding control to reset
the resolution.
The platform only supports the use of
normal (or non-reversed) layout
ADD2 (Advanced Digital Display 2)
adapter cards inserted into the
SVDO (Serial Digital Video Output)
connector on the platform's system
board. ADD2 cards are used to give
multi-monitor capabilities to the
integrated graphics controller.
1. Reseat DIMMs. Power on the
system.
2. Replace DIMMs one at a time to
isolate the faulty module.
3. Replace third-party memory
with HP memory.
4. Replace the system board.
For systems with a graphics card:
1. Reseat the graphics card. Power
on the system.
2. Replace the graphics card.
3. Replace the system board.
For systems with integrated
graphics, replace the system board.
