Troubleshooting Guide

Under certain conditions, performance of this unit may be adversely affected by factors other than defects. If a problem
occurs, please review the following list and take remedial action as needed. If you cannot solve the problem after
checking the entire list, contact Olympus.
1. The left and right fields of view
do not coincide.
2. The field of view is obscured
partially or illuminated unevenly.
3. The monitor image is cut off
partially.
4. Dirt or dust is visible in the field
of view.
5. Details of observed image are
solid.
6. Visibility of observed image is
poor.
· Image is not sharp.
· Contrast is insufficient.
7. Zooming causes defocusing of
the observed image.
8. The coarse focus adjustment
knob does not rotate smoothly
9. The microscope body drops
spontaneously, causing the
focusing to be deviated during
observation.

Problem
The interpupillary distance is
adjusted improperly.
The diopter is adjusted incorrectly.
The left and right eyepieces are
different.
The aperture iris diaphragm is
stopped down excessively.
The trinocular observation tube
and/or intermediate attachments

The rotation tension of the knob is
set too high.
The rotation tension of the coarse
focus adjustment knob is set too
low.
The microscope body dropped
spontaneously because the weight
exceeded 10 kg.
