Inserting a Memory Card

This printer is equipped with two Card Slots to meet various types of memory cards. Refer to the
illustration below to find the Card Slot corresponds to your memory card.
Check the card face and insert it gently until it reaches the bottom and the Access lamp turns
on. The card's end protrudes from the Card Slot even if it is correctly set.
Important
Insert only single type of card.
For SmartMedia
Insert the card into the upper slot with the gold contact facing up.
For CompactFlash (CF) card, Microdrive and xD-Picture Card*
Insert the card into the downside slot with its label facing up.
16 Before Printing
Turn on
For Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO,
Memory Stick Duo*, Memory Stick PRO Duo*,
SD Memory Card, Multimedia Card (ver3.31),
and miniSD Card*
Insert the card into the upper slot with the
arrow-printed side facing up.
Turn on
* Use the compliant adapter.
