Making/Answering Calls
R Depending on the condition and
quality of your telephone line, this
feature may emphasise existing line
noise. If it becomes difficult to hear,
turn this feature off.
R This feature is not available while
using the speakerphone.
Call share
You can join an existing outside call.
Handset
To join the conversation, press M
when the other handset is on an outside
call.
Base unit
Available for:
KX-TG6641 series (page 3)
To join the conversation, press M
when the handset is on an outside call.
Note for handset and base unit:
R A maximum of 4 parties (including 1
outside party) can join a conversation
using 3 extensions.(4-way
conference)
R To prevent other users from joining
your conversations with outside
callers, turn this feature off
(page 30).

During a power failure

When a power failure occurs, the unit
goes into power supply mode and the
charged handset temporarily supplies
power to the base unit. This allows you
to make and receive calls during a
power failure. The base unit will not
perform any other functions. You can
program "Power failure" and the
default setting is "Off" (page 30).

Important:
R Power supply mode will not work if the
battery level of the power supplying
handset is lower than .
R If a handset is not placed on the base
unit when a power failure occurs,
"Base no power Press OFF" is
displayed. After pressing MOFFN on
the handset, place it on the base unit
to start power supply mode.
R Do not lift the power supplying
handset from the base unit during
power supply mode.

R Do not touch the handset's charge
contacts since they will be hot during
power supply mode.
R In case handset battery power runs
out, we recommend connecting a
corded-type telephone (without AC
adaptor) to the same telephone line or
to the same telephone line jack using
a Panasonic T-adaptor (page 4).

Making calls
n When 1 handset is registered:

During a power failure, lift the
handset and dial the phone
number.

Within 1 minute, place the
handset on the base unit.
R Speakerphone is turned on

When the other party answers
the call, keep the handset on the
base unit and talk using the
speakerphone.

When you finish talking, press
MOFFN.
Note:
R In step 1, if you do not place the
handset on the base unit within 1
minute, the power supply mode turns
off. In this case, press MOFFN on the
automatically and the call is
made.
