Installing the DRT3500-C 40/45 Series Oak Log Set
The logs have notches/tabs to assist proper positioning. Upper logs rest on lower logs via notches/tabs. Proper log placement is
critical to prevent sooting. Place the logs in the gaps between flame peaks, so they do not impinge the flames. Follow the log placement
instructions precisely.
NOTE: Do not cover the burner ports.

1. If necessary, remove the glass door (Pages 63-64). Locate the placement tabs (Figure 51).
2. Bend up the log placement tabs (Figure 51).
3. Tear the glowing embers into dime size pieces. Place glowing embers as shown in Figure 50.

4. Install left frong log on the two left log grate tines (c & d)(Figure 51 and 52).

Do NOT place embers on or close to large
ports or the pilot area as seen here (circled).
NOTE: Enough glowing ember material is provided for several applications.
For best glowing effect, replace the ember material annually.
