SATA Configuration
During system boot up, the BIOS automatically detects the presence of SATA devices. In
the SATA Configuration menu, you can see the hardware currently installed in the SATA
ports.
SATA Controller(s)
Enable or disable the SATA Controller feature. The default is Enabled.
SATA Mode Selection
Determine how SATA controller(s) operate. Operation mode options are RAID and AHCI
(Advanced Host Controller Interface). The default is the AHCI mode.
SATA Controller Speed
Indicates the maximum speed the SATA controller can support.
Hot Plug
Designates this port as Hot Pluggable.
Spin Up Device
If enabled for any of ports, Staggerred Spin Up will be performed and only the drives that
have this option enabled will spin up at boot. Otherwise all drives spin up at boot.
SATA Device Type
Identify the SATA port is connected to a solid-state drive (SSD) or hard disk drive (HDD).
